An easily understood story with delightful and expressive illustrations help children to understand alienation, fear, and integration. An important theme for children and adults: through coming together we can cope with conflict and overcome barriers. The residents of Baobab were content. They all had a home and each was able do something special. But one day a homeless bear appeared, looking for a place to settle down. The residents of Baobab became worried and frightened. Poetically told in words and images this tale of alienation and fear is resolved through courage and the will to reach out to one another.
