Packed with all the essential ingredients that have made Dr. Seuss so well-loved over the last 50 years — riotous rhyme, bizarre creatures, zany artwork, off-the-wall humour — If I Ran the Zoo is vintage Seuss at its very best. This paperback edition of a popular story tells of Gerald McGrew's grand designs for running his own zoo, packed with weird and wonderful creatures such as the incredible Thwerll, whole legs are snarled up in a terrible snerl, or the family of Joats, whose feet are like cows' but wear squirrel-skin coats!

Hop on Pop Hop on Pop
Автор: Жанр: Random House, Inc. Год: 1999 Страниц: 72 Дата загрузки: 19 февраля 2009
«Back in 1957, Theodor Geisel responded to an article in Life magazine that lamented the use of boring reading primers in schools. Using the pseudonym of «Dr. Seuss» (Seuss was Geisel's middle name) and only two hundred twenty-three words, Geisel created a replacement for those dull primers: «The Cat in the Hat.» The instant success of the book prompted Geisel and his wife to found Beginner Books, and Geisel wrote many popular books in this series, including «Hop on Pop,» «Fox in Socks,» and «Green Eggs and Ham.» Other favorite titles in this series are «Go, Dog, Go!» and «Are You My Mother?» by P. D. Eastman, «A Fly Went By,» by Mike McClintock, and «Put Me in the Zoo,» by Robert Lopshire.»

Fox in Socks Fox in Socks
Автор: Жанр: Random House, Inc. Год: 2011 Страниц: 24 Дата загрузки: 28 мая 2014
Dr. Seuss's Fox in Socks has been troubling tongues — and garnering giggles — since 1965. Written specifically to be read aloud, it features a tricky fox in socks and the progressively more difficult tongue-twisting games he plays on his exasperated friend Mr. Knox. Now available for the first time in an abridged, sturdy, board book edition, this beloved classic will have babies of all ages laughing with — and at — their parents as they struggle, like Knox, to blab such blibber blubber as muddle puddle tweetle poodle beetle noodle bottle paddle battle!

Oh, The Places You'll Go! Oh, The Places You'll Go!

Dr. Seuss’s wonderfully wise Oh, the Places You’ll Go! is the perfect send-off for grads—from nursery school, high school, college, and beyond! From soaring to high heights and seeing great sights to being left in a Lurch on a prickle-ly perch, Dr. Seuss addresses life’s ups and downs with his trademark humorous verse and illustrations, while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within. In a starred review, Booklist notes, “Seuss’s message is simple but never sappy: life may be a ‘Great Balancing Act,’ but through it all ‘There’s fun to be done.’” A perennial favorite and a perfect gift for anyone starting a new phase in their life!
