In her digitally manipulated photographs and installations, German artist Claudia Rogge (born 1968) deconstructs social roles by dramatizing them. Taking such cliches as the innocent child, the grim executioner and the masked temptress, Rogge replicates their images ad nauseam until all meaning is drained from them.
